I have decided to make a homemade pizza for dinner as a treat. Got a night out booked with some friends next weekend to celebrate. So tonight it’s be hassled by the cat as usual, and video games.

I may also be looking at a new guitar I’ve been thirsting over the last few months. But we’ll see…

Still hasn’t quite sunk in. But there’s definitely a weight off my shoulders. I almost fell asleep right after the meeting lol

Excuse me, impolite to say that and not share the games :-)

So Cyberpunk 2077 is the game that pushes all of my buttons. As in I think about it when I’m not playing it. I deleted it off my PC while I was unemployed because I didn’t want to get sucked in and waste time. I just installed it, updating now, and then mods will be installed.

        Here we go!!!

Thank you ❤️ The meeting this morning where I told her about the police check was nerve wracking. But she said it’s ok and she was appreciative that I told her in advance which is nice.

It’s only basic: Pita bread base, diced tomato, mozarella, salami, capsicum and olives.

I haven’t had anything to eat other than chicken, veggies, and tuna pasta in about 4 months. This is a nice treat lol

Hell yeah gotta love that rush of relief and acceptance and then the permission to keep the good feels rolling with some nice food. Still sounds like a very satisfying pizza indeed 😺 You absolutely deserve a treat! I hope it’s onwards and upwards from here with being secure and not being hampered by the past.

Aldi shop is done. Will hit up one of the Oligopolies for the couple of things on the list they didn’t have. Time to cook dinner, go to gym, and make the most of the rest of today.

What happened to the rain? Seems like it mostly fell while we were all asleep.

I had some Spirited Away-esque dreams where there were all these fantastical characters and a huge restaurant with many inner workings and lowly staff being turned into turtles and retro computers for being slow or seeing the wrong thing. It was kind of heart-breaking, really…

It’s early. I’m waiting for fence builders. What I can tell you is, when getting the quotes, the dude who turned up with thongs on did not get the job.

Lol we got fence quotes a couple of years ago and one of the dudes who turned up was pissed as a newt, reeked of it. Then the neighbour lost his job so we couldn’t get it done anyway.

        😂 oh fuck!

The guy turned up to remove the old fence. It’s been laying in the neighbours waist high grass for the last 6 months so there was most likely weeds growing through it.

Also the neighbour sleeps outside like a hobo so he’s probably awake now.

I’ve been taking the dog outside on a retractable lead. I encourage him to do pee-pees but he’s shy even though I know he’s a dirty little boy.

So I put some newspaper down in the kitchen and explained nicely that in times of an emergency could he please use the facilities provided and NOT on my fucking carpet. 🤞

De-toothing complete. Apparently the tooth was a stubborn little bugger, with an extra root and twisted on a weird angle. It didn’t really hurt having it taken out, but now I’m back home and the anaesthetic is wearing off it is definitely getting painful. 😢

Ok, on further investigation, he managed to break into my spare room. He slashed up my bike seat, stole my MacBook, slashed a poster, destroyed a 3D Printer I got as a gift, and destroyed a resin 3D printer I also got as a gift. I’m going to call the police, but I want to wait for the locksmith to come let me into my spare room first because that’s where I kept most of my valuables

I’m really fucking sorry for what’s happened mate. I really am.

What an absolute piece of fucking shit.

This is also on the people running the house. Speak to your worker about being reimbursed for what’s been destroyed.

It’s their responsibility to provide a safe place for you and your stuff.

Don’t let them off the hook.

And I would be demanding someone stay at the house with you for the next few weeks at minimum. Your safety is their responsibility.

Thanks gibsy, I appreciate it. Already in the process of doing all that. Apparently my org is trying to put the responsibility for my stuff onto child protection and their placement coordination unit for moving him in, since they said he wasn’t a good match. I don’t really give a shit who pays for it, as long as somebody does and in a reasonable timeframe. But tbh, my org has the ability to refuse referrals, the pathetic sponge of a man running the show was just too scared to say “no” to PCU and accepted the referral anyway.

I told them I don’t feel comfortable here on my own, they’ve said they’ll ask for supports. But I’m going to raise hell if they refuse. Completely agree with what you’ve written - they’ve screwed up not just once, but about a dozen times in a row. They’ve had so many opportunities to prevent this, but they kept making bad decision after bad decision and now I’m paying for it.

Good on you for standing up for yourself!

From everything you’ve written since I’ve been here, these people are happy to abdicate responsibility at the drop of a hat. The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and considering everything that’s happened ie: you having to live in a hotel, what this moron has done to your stuff and the house, it’s a very reasonable request to not only have everything replaced, but to have either a couple of workers, or in the least they could hire a security guard of some description.

I haven’t been through what you have, but I know how shitty government beuracracy can treat you when you’re young. How your needs can be ignored repeatedly.

They don’t get to get away with the incompetence that has led to these circumstances. Fuck all that.

That aside, I have to say, if I was in your shoes, at your age, I wouldn’t be handling this half as well as you are. I really mean that.

Good on you for keeping a level head and being systematic in how you’re going to resolve this!

I’m so sorry. What an awful thing to happen. I don’t know why people are like that. Do they feel good to trash someone stuff? Why??? Hopefully police will be helpful. Even if they aren’t, you’ll be doing the right thing to report it.

I marked it as lost and sent a pin code. I don’t think you can report MacBooks as stolen to apple, but you can to the police who I think then contacted apple. It hasn’t been connected to the internet since I last used it, so the lock doesn’t help much if it’s already been wiped

Woke up, very ready for breakfast and the kitchen sink isn’t draining. Guess one of the housemates clogged it last night. Woooooooooooooooooo coffee for breakfast

Recently frustrated with one of them. They’re usually all good. I’ve tried to complain about one issue and got brushed off. Might need to be more assertive.

Seem to have hit the post-dinner slowdown. Come on you fellow spammers of the echo chamber, what’s happening this evening?

I ate 3 tacos because I only made two at work before realising that was a stupid idea, then I had a bowl of leek and tuna pasta. And now I’m chilling out to Boz Scaggs to lift my mood a bit this evening.

I’m also so grateful for my reverse cycle splitty. Found out my cousin in the sticks has had to turn down the central heating thermostat to 16C because their power bill is too high and my poor uncle from the tropics is wearing four layers indoors. That’s new builds for you, with the giant house footprints and warm air leaking everywhere…
