This looks awful. Kevin Hart as Roland, seriously? Did anyone working on this even play any of the games? Jamie Lee Curtis as tannis? What’s she going to do, perform an archeological experiment on some yogurt? Roland and Lilith, the protagonists from the first game, vault hunting with krieg from the second game, and claptrap from the presequel, along side tannis, whose only job is to stay at the base camp spouting insanities, and tiny Tina who’s only a little more sane than tannis and lives in a cave? Who the fuck was this made for, it surely wasn’t the fans of the franchise
Edit: I’m not done yet. Kate blanchet, born in 1969 is portraying the 27 year old Lilith. Roland, who is officially listed as 5,11" is portrayed by five foot fucking nothing Kevin Hart. I do not believe in the slightest that Hart is even capable of playing Roland due to his personality and the fact that he plays the same fucking character in everything he’s ever been in. Jamie Lee fucking Curtis??? Jack black as claptrap…he isn’t even a robot! Tiny Tina could just be portrayed by the voice actress considering she’s also already an actress, but nooooo, that’d make too much sense. Fuck this stupid shit, I’m mad about it. That’s all for now.
Claptrap is from the original game, but where the fuck is Mordy?
That’s true, however he wasn’t a playable character until the presequel. I have zero expectations of this actually being a good borderlands movie. It’ll probably be along the lines of the Wanted adaptation from comic to movie.
Tiny Tina was
n’t a PC until BL3never a PC.I also expect this to be as good as the Hitman and Assassin’s Creed films combined.
Wait, Tiny Tina is a playable character in BL3? I must have missed that part.
Wait, no, she’s not. I don’t know why I thought that. What is wrong with my brain.
Honestly, I’d play as Tina if they did the game right. I could see her having an ability like Moze’s Iron Cub but a rabbit, and more explosive.
Borderlands 4, anyone?

Jack black is more than a man, however I have my doubts about him meeting the spirit. Of all of the roles, this is most definitely the one that could have been handled by the original actor. I was mad, but didn’t have anything mean to say about Jack black directly. I haven’t seen the Mario movie so I don’t know how well he executed that, to be fair
It’s obviously about shoving as many high profile names in there as they can to make it seem like it will be really good
To be fair Cate Blanchett ages like a vampire.
My expectations are on the floor so it’ll be a low bar to clear. Hopefully it’ll just be a fun watch.
Definitely not expecting them to stick to close to the games story (the main vault hunters kind of reveal that).
Oh for sure below the floor if there is one thing I have learned is that the things I love never leave there source and go to the screen in a way I like… :(
Everyone is way too clean. What the hell is with Hollywood and everyone having perfect makeup and no grime on anything? Add some fucking filth.
Tales of the borderlands showed us it can work as a movie/series
New tales of the borderlands showed us how bad it’s probably going to be.
This is going to bomb worse than a Sony super hero movie.
“It’s Bordering time!”
Madame Web: Hold my beer
My wife wanted to see Madame Web and oh boy was it bad. I expect borderlands to be worse.
Any plans for divorce?
Two words: fucking puke.
Naw dawg, were all going to be doing our best reenactment of the borderlands cover after watching this slop.
Where’s Mordecai?
I am a big fan of the Borderlands franchise and have several playthroughs in each game except the latest tales from the Borderlands (because ugh it was a snooze).
I HATED the casting as soon as leaks started coming out about it. They didn’t cast a single character in line with the games and they appear to have left all of my favorite characters out entirely. The trailers make it seem like it’s a buddy comedy which totally ignores the whole storyline.
I have no plans to see this movie. It’s not made for fans of the game and it definitely won’t appeal to me.
