And the infuriating part is that, even after seeing images like these, there will still be many people who believe climate change to be a hoax.
It’s part of God plan libtard! -america
Far right american*
Don’t lump us all in with those cunts, we hate them too
*entire government of America, every official position and document, almost all business leaders, and half the country
Looks like they can just say “Americans” now and be accurate.
That’s hyperbolic tripe.
Pretty much anyone right of center unfortunately, not just the extremes.
It’s almost like grass lawns are an enormous waste of water.
If they need to be watered, yes. England used to be famous for having lush green lawns naturally. (Obviously not anymore)
looks like regional Australia during a drought.
I was thinking Arizona on a Tuesday.
I’m seeing Mojave.
Mojave mo problem.
Reminds me of that time I got shot in the head and buried in a shallow grave. Good times, good times.
droughtsummer.
Green Hill’s looking a lot more like Sand Hill right now
What Australia looks like 10 months out of the year
Grass isn’t sustainable if you want to keep it short for a lawn.
Long grass is also dried out, as we can see on the left side of the bottom picture. For grass there’s nothing unsustainable about periodically withering from drought, it’s perfectly natural.

Has london never heard of sprinklers
Fuck people who water lawns
They have, but they call them “Laddish” and deploy them mostly in Shoreditch alleyways.
The upper photo just seems weird to me… why such a huge empty space? I mean I get that it’s a park, I’m not suggesting putting up buildings or anything, but… idk, more trees, maybe a pond? Foot paths that aren’t straight lines?
Even the Americans figured out how to do a park (well at least one park, possibly more) and they’re a notably anti park folk, I would’ve thought the brits could manage something better in the middle of London

So far, I’m not a huge fan of the anthropocene.
What infuriates me is that geologists plainly assertes that we don’t live in the anthropocene.
Hey, try to see the silver lining: it won’t be a particular long era.
😂😭
So basically Los Angeles, with possibly less fire.
for now. Lots of foresty parks in london
You joke but Edinburgh had a massive wildfire on Arthur’s Seat.
Wow! Is Arthur ok?
I live in Edinburgh, 400 miles from London. Large parts of the city look like this. We had a massive Wildfire on Arthur’s Seat, our equivalent of New York’s Central Park. Nearly died walking up a hill in the city center.
Shits fucked man.
Big fucked and nobody is going to solve it before many of us poors are dead.
God… I didn’t heard about that. What are journalisst doing? Scotland is basically next to France. Why do I hear about tsunami warning in Japan but not that?!
Because the British press only cares about things happening outside of London if it is either:
- Really fucked up
- Related somehow to London.
Here’s an article on the wildfire. Yes that is Edinburgh City Center right next to the Fire.
Was this last month? The article is date from 20 July 2026 but other mention I found are from last year. I find article on the same topic from a year ago almost world for world the same for the few recent articles. Is this the second year it happened?
I’m very sorry for you either way.
Yes, and it was the biggest wildfire in recent memory. Whole of Salsbury Crags caught fire. Burnt for a couple of days. It was bigger than last year’s fires. We once had a fire in February.
Crazy stories.
Good luck…
Well, the silver lining is that it’s good for finding parchmarks and old unknown archaeological sites.
And lots of sunken Nazi ships in rivers
Ahh, looks like home.
(I live in Australia).
When I read this, the comment right below it said:
Looks like a still from the original Fallout
Any response?
Kangaroos in Fallout wouldn’t even need to change, they’re already threatening enough.
A radiated mob of Emus would be terrifying to stumble across though.
I’ve discussed with my people. They said:
Please keep the nukes away from us.
We’re a (mostly) peace-loving people that just wanna drink some beer and eat Vegemite.
