So once the sidewalks are congested with delivery robots walking anywhere will be impeding deliveries.
Yeah, “disorderly conduct” can mean basically whatever the pigs want it to.
Won’t hold up in court.
That doesn’t make it ok that she was arrested.
Obviously not.
Ideally the pigs would be fired for wrongful arrest
It’s the usa so the law is whatever the corrupt want it to be
Send the judge a few bags of money, and it will.
Trial by jury
Jury fried rice.
So we would hope, but recently someone got 50 years (in Britain, but these legal realities aren’t too much different for us in statesia right now) for protesting in favor of Palestinian Action. And the fifth circuit just, I don’t know how to describe it, exists.
So the courts should function as a check on executive overreach and malfeasance, right? Problem is that word should does a lot of lifting.
We need more of this. Not, just because “they take our jobs” but because we need to normalize every day minor means of resistance to the tech dystopia we are in. Not because they are individual acts that will somehow change things. But, I’d be a proud parent if the way my kid gets in trouble is not from smoking cigarettes or something, but placing a traffic cone on top of a parked Waymo, I’m all for that.
You are right I need to buy some collapsible traffic cones.
I want to offer a bike valet at the local farmers market, but I could also use the cones for robotaxi shebang
Why the fuck people calling the popo over this?
Why is the vehicle allowed on the sidewalk to begin with?
It’s wild but you’ll see people more quickly call for “property damage” type crimes than you will when someone is incapacitated or hurt and all alone.
Well the police don’t really help with those things, and sometimes kill the person they’re supposed to be helping
And any dogs they see on the way.
You know, I felt a deep sense of shame when Philly murdered HitchBot. Now, I’m thinking they were just ahead of the curve.
Hitchbot was just trying to travel and see the world, though.
That’s what they all say …
I still mourn that thing. Philly did as Philly does I guess.
I don’t like to blame the victim but hitchbot was kind of asking for it by going to Philly
Meanwhile the disabled person at home, unable to go out easily, waiting for their delivery…
Not all uses of these modern app-based delivery systems are people being lazy.
Isn’t this robot* actually driven by a human in Colombia, tho?
It’s not so much Luddite as “dose darn foreigners are takkin me dang jerbs”
Isn’t this not
Robot*, sorry
