Over literally anything. An uncomfortable truth that most Americans on the left don’t seem to realize is that you need all the uneducated people that were swindled by the incessant propaganda and (much) later realised their foolishness, instead of ridiculing and hating them. “I voted for you, but you don’t represent me and I want you gone” is a sentiment you could really use

This specifically? I don’t think 10 years ago we were really talking about what this is and would mean. “AI” was supposed to be decades off and people thought chips would become more efficient as they got more powerful, as if they were car engines or something. Though I will say it’s nice to finally have the right against surveillance. The wacko right always was, but the base always said “if you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to hide.” It’s refreshing that it seems they’re coming to their senses on at least one subject.

Snowden warned us in 2013. What’s happening is just scaled and matured. They scaled “nsa”.

        As far as I’m aware…

Manipulation of society has happened far longer. I suggest watching The Century of Self. A documentary about individualism and marketing. Basically about marketing lifestyles to consolidate people into …so that they are easier to control. They marketed it as freedom… But it’s all about control because consolidated groups are easier to control than true individuals.

Marketing… The psychology of manipulation is a huge industry… It’s obviously used to construct the future a narration of the human experience. That’s the game.

10 years? I’m middle aged and they’ve been fanning the flames of division my entire life. What I’ve learned of American history is similar, like the red scare.

I’m generous about it because I’m very ADHD and don’t learn things like normal people. I’m sure there’s more but I’ll only say the parts I know and have experienced. And I’ve experienced way more than I could have ever imagined anyone ever should.

I don’t think America is legitimate. They call it the American experiment. And I think it is… More than people want to understand, like the citizens are lab rats.

Like we are a 400 year old abused toddler that was born specifically for abuse, experimentation, and manipulation.

Techbros didn’t see this coming. They thought we’d all eat their shit and be on board. They’re genuinely surprised. It’s hard to see when your head is up your own ass and the other guys are jerking you off.

Supporters of data centers, including Republican President Donald Trump and some union leaders who usually back Democrats, praise a potential jobs and economic bonanza, while helping the U.S. thwart China in the geopolitical race for technological supremacy.

These massive buildings only hire a dozen security and site admin. There are no jobs and the only economic bonanza will be for the billionaires.

There are good jobs in construction to build the facilities, then there’s a handful of people, mainly entry level cable monkeys.

    They did it.
    They actually pulled it off.

Wish we could all agree on felons, rapists, and pedophiles. But then who would conservatives/regressives vote for?

The republicans and the democrats are both right wing, y’all need to stop pretending otherwise.
